Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun/QMI reports that the Montreal Canadiens might move Andrei Kostitsyn to help their woes on defence.
"The Canadiens have no idea when veteran blueliner Andrei Markov might return from off-season knee surgery, and sources say the Habs may be willing to part with winger Andrei Kostitsyn to get help.
"Making $3.25 million and set to become a UFA on July 1, Kostitsyn, 26, isn’t the kind of player everybody wants, but he’s coming off a 20-goal campaign and has been one of the club’s best players this season."
The article was released just prior to the Habs 5-4 OT loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, in which Kostitsyn scored his second goal of the season.
