For as long as I remember, I've been a Montreal Canadiens fan. And as my childhood went from idyllic to frustrating, my identity as it related to the Canadiens gave me my own unique fan experience.

Ultimately what sucked me in was getting to spend time watching the Habs with my dad on Saturday nights. Sharing in his passion and developing one of my own through him.

Love isn't really a choice, it's something that you find or it finds you. Loving the Habs was an inevitability.

Sometimes you choose your sports teams, and sometimes they choose you...
