Happy Holidays from EOTP
Well there's not much to be cheerful for as a fan of the Montreal Canadiens as of late. Over the next few days the Habs hopefully getsome time to take their mind off things and comeback refreshed on Monday.
Then Canadiens are scheduled for a Boxing Day practice, leading up to Tuesday's visit ot the Ottawa Senators.
In the meantime the crew at EOTP would like to wish you all a Happy Holiday season, in whichever way you celebrate it.
Like the team, it's THE time of the year to take into account the things that really are important, friends and family.
Much like the players who travel away from home, over he course of an 82 game season, one personally finds the time to write and read up on the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge can take away from good quality family time. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who agrees on that. So in the meantime, I plan to use these next full days to the fullest extent, and I hope you do to.
At the same time we also wish you safe travels over the next few days, be it driving to see realtives or being crammed on a flight across Canada like a sardine. Someone one the crew here can already relate to that, right Andrew?
Peace and well wishes everybody, and we'll catch up with you again next week, to see what Habs swag we got this year.
All the best,
Kevin, Andrew, Stephan, Bruce, Chris, Robert and Francis

THE HISTORY OF HOCKEY HAS NEVER BEEN SO FUN!
We don't do a lot of book reviews at EOTP, usually leaving that for our good friend Joe Pelletier. But when a submission is passed on, we like to put our two cents into it.
I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of Stephen Cole's "Double Overtime - The Hockey Fan's Ultimate Hockey Book," from Simon and Schuster. Mr. Cole is author of the hockey humor anthology Slapshots, and Xtreme Hockey! He writes regularly for The Globe and Mail and the CBC.
The book is now available for pre-order and officially hits the shelves in book stores on October 25.
The fall season is the prime time for new hockey book to hit the market, and it looks like the author has a real winner here, that should become an annual series.
Habs Video and pre All-Star Daily Links
Well the NHL All-Star weekend has begun. Starting tonight, we will see latest attempt by the NHL to make the game of any interest, with the new draft format of selecting teams for the respective squads.
I'll likely be sorting my sock drawer, in lieu of watching Eric Staal and Nicklas Lidstrom pick teams on TSN. Can you beleive they are doing mock drafts for this thing?
We'll have some other features on the All-Star game - past and present - up over the weekend, but since there won't be any major activity between now and then in the Montreal Canadiens camp, I dug up some interesting bits and pieces for your reading and viewing pleasure.
