The Bulldogs take on the St. John's Ice Caps in a rematch of last nights 3-1 loss.
After dropping last nights game 3-1 despite outshooting their opponents 46-19, the Bulldogs look to even the season series tonight in St. Johns. Eddie Pasquale stole the show last night turning away 45 of 46 shots for the win, while Robert Mayer stopped 16 of 19, despite reports that Cedrick Desjardins was selected to start.
The Bulldogs lineup will definitely be boosted by the return of Louis Leblanc, playing his first game since suffering a high ankle sprain in late October. Cedrick Desjardins will definitely be the starter tonight, after a poor performance from Robert Mayer last night. Desjardins will be looking to build on his strong start to the season, in which he helped the Bulldogs defeat the Toronto Marlies 6-3.
Brendan Gallagher scored the loan Bulldogs goal last night, bringing his goal total to 6 on the season after a slow start. He leads AHL rookies in shots (50), is 2nd in PP goals with 3, and 4th in PIM with 31.
With Louis Leblanc returning to action tonight, expect Alexander Avtsin to come out of the lineup. Other scratches include Alain Berger and Joe Stejskal.
