The Bulldogs look to snap a 3 game losing streak against the Abbotsford Heat.
The Bulldogs are back at it today after a disappointing stretch that has seen the Bulldogs lose three straight (albeit they did get a point in Friday's 5-4 OT loss against the Marlies). They will host the Calgary Flames' farm team, the Abbotsford Heat. The Heat have not lost in regulation so far this season winning 4 games and dropping 2 in a shootout to the Chicago Wolves and last night to Lake Erie.
The Dogs have struggled so far this season to find their offensive star in this young season, so far Patrick Holland is leading the team with 4 points, but other young guns have shown their offensive capabilities. After Brendan Gallagher put up a goal and an assist against the Marlies on Friday we can look to him to continue his offensive pressure, and for his output to grow.
Editor's note: The Bulldogs have been a dominant possession team thus far under Lefebvre, averaging 34.4 shots per game while allowing 28 shots per game, which means they're getting about 55% of all the shots on net during games. This is including special teams and score effects, so it's very imperfect, but the Bulldogs do seem to be owning the puck more often than not.
The Bulldogs are shooting at just 6.98% overall this year, while Delmas and Mayer have put up a combined 87.86% save percentage. Eventually these numbers should regress quite a bit and the Bulldogs should be in good shape. Desjardins getting healthy should help significantly.

Abbotsford Lineup for tonight's game:
This game marks the return of former Bulldog Joe Callahan. He was a top 4 defenseman for the Bulldogs last year, sometimes even a top pairing guy when injuries really hit, which is a sign of how week the Bulldogs were last year on the defense end, as he's a bottom pairing guy for Abbotsford.
