The Hamilton Bulldogs are set to play their home opener, the first of a home-and-home series, against the Toronto Marlies on Friday night.
Tonight, the Hamilton Bulldogs begin their home-and-home series against the Toronto Marlies. The Bulldogs are coming into this game at 1-0-0-0, and well rested, after downing the Griffins 4-3 in a shootout last Saturday night.
The Marlies come into tonight's game with a 1-1-0-0 record after being shut out 4-0 by the Lake Erie Monsters, despite outshooting the Monsters 40-18. This will be the first of 12 meetings between the clubs this year, with #2 coming tomorrow night.
All time, the Bulldogs are 38-31-6-7 against the Marlies, going 4-7-1-0 against them last season. Last year, the Marlies finished first in the North Division, progressing to the Calder Cup Finals where they would lose to the Norfolk Admirals 4-0.
