Nearly every Habs prospect's season is over outside of the ones in the NHL, so let's recap the last week of the season for those that ended up in Hamilton.
Almost every Canadiens prospect tore it up last week, but the most impressive of them all was Darren Dietz, who has been Saskatoon's best offensive defenseman this year.
We missed last week with the excitement of an NHL season finally dawning, but we're back this week with a big update. Both Mike Cichy and Dustin Walsh have been cut due to lack of performance. Alex Galchenyuk is also out since he's in the NHL.
So we're done with overseas Habs, so that series is dead. But you guys loved the weekly prospect report, so we're keeping that. It's been nearly 20 days since we checked in on prospects due to the craziness of a new CBA and the World Juniors, so there's a lot to see.
A lot less to report this week as several European Leagues go on break for different tournaments and the holidays, while several prospects get set for the World Juniors.
World Juniors camps approach and prospects are looking to impress, meanwhile David Desharnais and Scott Gomez begin their seasons by signing with HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the National League A and the Alaska Aces respectively.
