So I was looking for a video of Milan Lucic's hit on Ryan Miller, and came across this. As pathetic as Lucic was in this, he is topped by this Bruins fan who really does not help the cause for civil Bruins followers. Even worse is that he has nothing better to do on a Saturday night than record the game off his TV screen.
Well we saw how bad that P.K. Subban vs. Brad Marchand scrap was...Well anyone remember this?
So Habs fans were getting annoyed by Jay Rosehill's tactics during Saturday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Jacques Martin summed things up this way on Sunday, "It’s tough for me to ask Raphael Diaz to pick up David Steckel and throw him around." With the team struggling, and facing the Flyers and Bruins this week, maybe they should look at calling up Fitz! Zack Fitgerald led the AHL in penalty minutes two seasons ago, and has 31 in 5 games so far to go with a single goal. He's on and AHL deal, so I'd have to see how the team handles that kind of call-up. Could it really hurt at this point? Only problem is the 'Dogs are hurting for d-men at the moment.
So let's see, Zdeno Chara comes to the aid of Nathan Horton, who was holding his own against a pair of Carolina Hurricanes. Can't blame the Bruins captain for defending his teammates, but Jay Harrison was already focused on Horton. But note that when Harrison is trying to get up, still on one knee and with his back to him, Chara takes another shot at his head. Then again it was just a hockey play I guess. At least the big galoot was penalized accordingly. Harrison better watch where's he's skating in their next meeting. Who knows, one of those turnbuckles might just jump out at him.
Well maybe this is why Carey Price was not 100 percent on Saturday night. Perhaps someone kept him from his pregame nap! Truth be told, Price and his girlfriend have been together for some time, so this shouldn't start any love-losing streak conspiracy theories.
