(2) Zdeno Chara
The only surprise in this particular grouping is that Chara was not ranked 1st among all the cheap short artists. Known as "the man who breaks necks" or his more common nickname "The unaware troglodyte", Zdeno Chara has a long history of losing control of his bird size mind and attacking his NHLPA co-workers.
Throw a legal check? Be ready for a caveman attack.
Skate near a stanchion? Good luck. The league actually had to modify its rinks so that Chara could no longer break necks at will.
Essentially, Chara embodies all that is evil with hockey. Although to his credit he's never attacked any of his co-worker's groins, which leads us to:
He'll run your goalie, spear your defender in the nuts, spear more defenders in the nuts, call players 'chicken' for hitting him with a clean hit, and legitimately bully his way through an NHL game.
The author of an anti-bullying book (no really, he wrote one. Akin to Ben Johnson writing a book on anti-doping) is known league wide as one of the dirtiest players that ever played the game.
We know who you are bro. You're the guy that plays dirty but whines about others in a pathetic attempt to play the victim card.
So who will take this cheap shot battle?
