Canadiens vs Rangers second period thread

Bruce Bennett

Rangers beating Canadiens at their own game. New York leads 2-0 on goals by St Louis and Zuccarello.

Teams that win, typically score first in these playoffs. They also typically score more goals than the other team. New York seems to be doing a good job of both of those things. Perhaps during the intermission someone could explain to the Rangers that the Canadiens play this style of game and if they would kindly revert to a less speed based game, the Canadiens could then proceed to win this game as they are destined to.

One period of one game. One very ugly period, but just one period nonetheless. We've seen the Habs make adjustments and this seems to be first period outside of Game 5 where the Habs look outmatched for the entirety of the period. Even in Games 1 and 2 against the Bruins, the Habs had good stretches in which they dominated. This is the first time in these playoffs outside of Game 5 where they have just looked hapless.

The Habs have gotten this far because they make adjustments. The In-game adjustments that they can make don't scare me especially since Murray can't suddenly be dressed for this game. One adjustment I'd like to see is Bourque not taking stupid penalties anymore.
