Montreal came out flying in the first period. Tomas Plekanec's two goals in the first 15 minutes had everyone dreaming on a hat trick to cap the first.
There's still time. Subban played like a guy with something to prove - setting up both of Plekanec's goals. The new fourth line played like a solid third line. Bournival took a diving penalty so let's hope that mistake doesn't wind up costing him playing time.
With Therrien who knows? Detroit looked like a team with two good lines and not much else, but I still wouldn't count Nyquist and crew out.
