Canadiens vs Leafs: Second Period Thread

Claus Andersen

Montreal's power play came to life to sav the period.

It was another brutal start for the Habs.

Once again Emelin was deked out of his jockstrap. I'm not sure what it'll take for Therrien to stop playing him his wrong side.

Kadri turned him inside-out and dished the puck to Cody Franson who had an easy tap-in for the early lead.

Montreal showed a little life, but it's easy to qualify this as another lackluster period. Price had to be sharp on several occasions as Montreal continued it's habit of giving away endless odd-man rushes.

Towards the end of the frame Montreal went to the PP and the Subban shot generator was put to good use. After 5 point shots from Subban & Markov, Gallagher finally put one behind Bernier.
