The Habs announce their main training camp roster

The Habs main camp opens Wednesday.

55 players have been invited to attend the Montreal Canadiens training camp, which begins September 11th.

The Montreal Canadiens have released their list of players who will  be invited to the main camp. Players will report to Brossard for medicals and physical testing.

A total of 55 players were invited, including 16 D, 10 LW, 13 C, 11 RW and 5 goalies.

Matt Lashoff is the only player who the Habs do not own his rights that was invited to camp.

Sebastian Collberg received permission from Frolunda to attendcamp.

PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens announced Monday that 55 players will participate in the 2013-14 training camp. Players will report for physicals and medical exams at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Wednesday, September 11.

The first on-ice session will take place at the Bell Sports Complex on Thursday, September 12. The training camp will run until Monday, September 30, in preparation for the regular season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Center on Tuesday, October 1.

The list of players invited to training camp includes 5 goaltenders, 16 defensemen and 34 forwards. The Canadiens completed their rookie camp today and 23 of the 40 players attending have been invited to the main camp.

Practices opened to the public
Canadiens fans are invited to attend all practices at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard. Fans will have access to the stands for scrimmages on September 12-13.

On September 14, at 1 p.m., the Bell Centre will play host to an informal scrimmage starring Canadiens players divided up between teams Red and White. Habs fans who wish to attend this game will be able to do so for only $5 taxes included (canadiens.com and evenko.ca, or through the Bell Centre's ticket office). All proceeds from this game will be donated to the Fonds Avenir Lac-Mégantic.

Media Availability
Players at camp, as well as head coach Michel Therrien, will be available to the media following practice sessions (which include an off-ice stretch), at the Bell Sports Complex.
