After losing Marian Hossa for Game 3, the Blackhawks kind of crumbled in Boston. Scoring chances had the Bruins ahead by nearly a 2-1 margin, and Tuukka Rask continued to deny anything that happened to get through.
Hossa returns to the lineup tonight though, so hopefully that rekindles a bit of the Hawks' offensive potency. They sure could use more goal scoring from Jonathan Toews though, who has just 1 goal in 20 playoff games this year, and 4 in his last 33 overall.
If Joe Thornton was putting up the numbers Toews has for the last three years, what would we be saying about him? Not nice things I'd wager.
The Hawks need more from their top guys if they want to beat Boston, simple as that.
