Stanley Cup Finals Game 2 Thread - Chicago Blackhawks vs Boston Bruins

Gregory Shamus

After a first game that was essentially two games, can we expect an even better show in Game 2?

Andrew Shaw's shin pad deflected a Michal Roszival shot passed Tuukka Rask in triple overtime to complete a comeback from being down 3-1 in the third period. The elation felt by the Chicago Blackhawks and the disappointment felt by the Boston Bruins are exactly what makes the Stanley Cup finals so special.

It was an ugly goal that produced a magic moment.

The playoffs are a game of minutia, and what we saw in Game 1 could ultimately have decided the series. Or it could be completely meaningless and the Bruins could roar back to take the cup.

Hopefully they don't though.
