Canadiens vs Bruins - Second Period Thread

The first period ends with the Canadiens winning the possession battle, and up 1-0 on the hated Bruins.

SCORING SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

06:49 MTL A. GALCHENYUK (5) WRIST - ASST: B. PRUST (6) AND P. SUBBAN (21) 1 - 0 MTL

PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

01:56 BOS ANDREW FERENCE : ROUGHING - 2 MIN (FRANCIS BOUILLON)

01:56 MTL FRANCIS BOUILLON : ROUGHING - 2 MIN (ANDREW FERENCE)

19:21 BOS MILAN LUCIC : CROSS CHECKING - 2 MIN (TOMAS PLEKANEC)

So there's some good news coming out of the period, with the Habs starting the second up 1-0 and on the powerplay because Milan Lucic is dumb, but there's also some bad news.

Alexei Emelin left the first period with an injury that didn't look minor after trying to hit Lucic/dump truck, and he will obviously not return.

To add to that, Renaud Lavoie of RDS reports that Jeff Halpern left the bench before the end of the first period, so he could be hurt too.

On the other hand, holy crap Alex Galchenyuk is amazing.
