Canadiens at Lightning - Second Period Thread

Don't believe the shot clock, that period was all Canadiens and it wasn't even remotely close.

SCORING SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

NONE

PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

10:45 TBL B.J. CROMBEEN : HOOKING - 2 MIN (P.K. SUBBAN)

18:25 TBL MARTIN ST LOUIS : HOOKING - 2 MIN (DAVID DESHARNAIS)

18:25 MTL DAVID DESHARNAIS : DIVING - 2 MIN

It's a crying shame that the Canadiens don't have a goal to show for that period. The Lars Eller and Tomas Plekanec lines were absolutely dominant in the Lightning's end, and I'm not sure that Tampa mustered a single scoring chance.

Cedrick Desjardins has a horseshoe up his ass against the Habs apparently. Every shot either misses the top corner or just hits him enough to not go in.

This is one of those games that can get away from a team that dominates the first. The Canadiens can not afford to have a second period like they did against Carolina the other day, especially with Steven Stamkos out there.
