There was a lot of speculation last night when the Habs sent down Greg Pateryn, but another Bulldog will be getting a taste of the NHL.
Last night when Greg Pateryn was sent down to Hamilton, there was a lot of baseless speculation on twitter. One person was absolutely sure that the Canadiens had put a waiver claim on Ben Eager, but in the end it looks like Montreal just wanted to give another young defenseman a taste of the NHL.
Jarred Tinordi, the giant of the Canadiens' farm system, will be joining the Canadiens in New Jersey for his first NHL game.
Jarred has been playing particularly well of late, including being named our Bulldog of the week on February 25th.
The 6'6", 218 pound defenseman has put up more offense than was expected of him in his rookie AHL season with 2 goals and 9 assists in 55 games, along with 59 shots.
Coming into this season, Tinordi moved from the 10th spot in our top 25 under 25 to the 8th spot, read his profile here.
Earlier in the season, Tinordi gave Eyes on the Prize an interview, watch that here.
