Canadiens vs Maple Leafs - The Warmup

Stay connected for news and updates

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Things have changed a lot since the Leafs and Habs last met, but all that means is that there's even more riding on tonight's game.

After grabbing just a single point in a back-to-back series against the Bruins and Sabres, the Canadiens face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at the Bell Centre for the main act of Hockey Day in Canada.

While one point separates the two teams in the standings, they couldn't be much further apart in overall performance according to yesterday's review of the first 10 games of the season.

A third straight loss would nearly erase the Habs' hot start, and with the rest of the season series against the Leafs held in Toronto, the importance of this game ramps up again.

Carey Price will be back in goal, and Ryan White is likely back in the pressbox, unless Travis Moen isn't good to go. Can the Habs rally back to their previous form and take the Leafs out?
