Canadiens vs Bruins: Second Period Thread

The most boring period in years from this rivalry sees the Bruins take a 1-0 lead.

SCORING SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

17:35 BOS Gregory Campbell (2) Wrist shot - ASST: Milan Lucic (10), Dennis Seidenberg (7) 1 - 0 BOS

PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

04:28 MTL Max Pacioretty Late on ice - bench - 2 min against Johnny Boychuk

06:45 BOS Matt Bartkowski Hi stick - double minor - 2 min against Brendan Gallagher

10:25 MTL David Desharnais Tripping - Obstruction - 2 min against Chris Kelly

14:43 BOS Carl Soderberg Delay of game - 2 min against Alexei Yemelin

Max Pacioretty hit Johnny Boychuk cleanly, but Boychuk fell awkwardly and had to be stretchered off.

The hit seemed to take all the energy out of the game, especially for the Canadiens, who are playing about as horrible as they did against New Jersey on Monday. Fortunately the Bruins don't look very good either, so the lead is still slim.
