Montreal Canadiens News and Analysis

The Canadiens had a day off on Wednesday, so there's not a whole lot of roster news to report this morning. The severity of Max Pacioretty's lower body/left leg injury remains a mystery, but based on the fact that he could not apply any weight to it on Tuesday, I'd bet against him playing tonight against Columbus. If Wolverine can't go, expect the very good fourth line of Michael Bournival, Travis Moen, and Ryan White to be reunited, with Brandon Prust and Daniel Briere joining the top nine. Puck drop is at 7:30 ET on RDS, TSN-Habs, and Fox Sports Ohio.

Did you know that Guy Lafleur scored 130 goals in a single season with the Quebec Remparts? Did you know that Lafleur and fellow 50-goal scorer Steve Shutt tried to convince linemate (and 40-goal scorer) Jacques Lemaire to push for 50, but he refused? Did you know that Lafleur thinks very highly of Mike Bossy's scoring prowess? If you answered no to any of these questions, check out this interview between TSN 1260's Jason Gregor and Guy Lafleur.
