So nothing happened in the first period, and barely anyone is watching apparently. Here's your "summary" of nothing.
Game Summary so far:
SCORING SUMMARY
1ST PERIOD
NONE
PENALTY SUMMARY
1ST PERIOD
00:33 WSH MATHIEU PERREAULT : TRIPPING - 2 MIN (DAVID DESHARNAIS)
16:15 MTL RYAN WHITE : HOLDING - 2 MIN (MATT HENDRICKS)
Boring period, lots of dump and chase by both teams.
The Canadiens were a lot better to start, then the Capitals took over. Shot attempts were 23-15 in favour of Washington.
The Capitals most dangerous moments came off of two terrible giveaways from the stick of Tomas Kaberle. I'm guessing he won't be getting much more than the 12 minutes of ice he got last game.
40 minutes to go, hopefully a bit more exciting. Also Washington fans aren't the same as 2010. And I think we permanently broke Alexander Ovechkin that year. He doesn't inspire fear like he used to.
