Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Blunden survive cuts

It looks like 3 potential players have survived the last series of cuts at Habs camp.

In what comes as no real surprise, Alex Galchenyuk seems to have made the Canadiens out of training camp. It remains to be seen whether he will stick past the 5 game mark where a year will be knocked off of his entry level contract, but my bet is that he's here for the full 48 game regular season.

Brendan Gallagher seems to be sticking around in case Tomas Plekanec isn't ready to go tomorrow, which is nice to see. That Therrien elected to keep an offensive guy like Gallagher is a good sign.

Michael Blunden also survived cuts, which is a bit more confusing since he was never part of training camp and was called up only for the scrimmage last night. Blunden did manage to pot two goals last night, which may have won him the 13th forward spot while Petteri Nokelainen is injured. Personally I think Blunden is a lot better than Nokelainen, so maybe he could stay up and they could waive the gritty Finn instead.

Gabriel Dumont was the other candidate for the 4th line, and despite his inspired AHL play, it seems like he's been cut for the time being.
