Plekanec and Jagr set to play in Europe as early as Wednesday.

Canadiens centre Tomas Plekanec is among the first wave of players confirmed to play in Europe, while the NHL Lockout gets underway.

He will join fellow countryman Jaromir Jagr on HC Kladno of the Czech Extraliga, a team owned by Jagr. The Czech club could bring in as many as five NHL players in the coming days.

The pair could suit up for the Knights as soon as Wednesday, against SK Slavia Prague."This is an exceptional sporting event and we hope that it will be of great interest. We want to offer a great experience to as many fans and promote Kladno hockey with the best players outside of our city," said Kladno's Executive Director Vaclav Bartos, in a team statement.

This will be Plekanec's second stint with Kladno. He played there from 1999 to 2001, before playing in North America. He had 16 goals and 29 assists in 98 games for the Czech Club.
