Tell a couple academics what you think of these guys - Bruce Bennett
A couple of researchers from Carnegie Mellon and Ben-Gurion University in Israel have asked Habs fans to participate in a survey about the lockout.
Professors Uriel Haran from Ben-Gurion University in Israel and Taya Cohen of Carnegie Mellon have kindly asked for EOTP's help in getting the opinions of Montreal Canadiens fans on the lockout for the purposes of research. Here is the email they sent:
My name is Uriel Haran. I'm a professor of management at Ben-Gurion University in Israel, and also a long time hockey fan. I write to you for help with a research project that involves the NHL lockout. Taya Cohen, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University and I are working on research that looks at people's perceptions of labor disputes, and the current lockout provides an opportunity to measure attitudes in a real-life situation. We ran a preliminary survey among several fan bases several weeks ago, and got some interesting results. We would like to conduct a follow-up study now, that looks at how people view the different sides of the dispute and their motives.
We would love it if you could help us reach Habs fans, so that we can better understand their thoughts and attitudes toward the lockout. We have prepared a short, 5-minute online survey that asks questions about the NHL and NHLPA. It would help us immensely if you could post a link to our survey on the blog. Would you be willing to do this for us?
We also welcome your participation in our survey. Here is the link.
Thank you very much!
Taya and Uriel
I have a very high regard for our readers here at EOTP, so of course I agreed right away. So please take 5 minutes out of your day to participate!
