A really cool announcement today from the NHLPA and RBC about Subban and Stamkos

Childhood teammates P.K. Subban and Steven Stamkos, now of the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning respectively, will be teaming up with the Royal Bank of Canada to play a charity game on the rink inside the former Maple Leaf Gardens. That rink now belongs to Ryerson University and is called the Mattamy Athletic Center.

Subban and Stamkos will each lead their own team of NHLers in a full 60 minute friendly game, with proceeds of ticket sales going to RBC's minor hockey based charity "RBC Play Hockey" that supports hockey at a grassroots level and the NHLPA's Goals and Dreams Fund.

NHLers that are known to be involved so far are Dion Phaneuf, Phil Kessel, James Neal, Tomas Kaberle, Mike Komisarek, Logan Couture, Kris Versteeg, Niklas Kronwall and John Michael Liles.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow (December 13th) morning at 10AM EST, and will cost $25 plus taxes and possible dispensing fees. You can get tickets at ticketmaster.ca, charge by phone at 1-855-985-5000, and at all Ticketmaster Retail Outlets. Tickets will be sold at Mattamy Athletic Center beginning December 14th.
