An examination of how each Habs goalscorer scored their goals last season, dividing each goal into one of two categories to begin with; a zone play, which means the team was set up in the offensive zone before the scoring play, or off the rush, which means the goal was scored on a fluid play while gaining the offensive zone.
Once the goal is put into one of those two categories, we identify whether the scoring play was the result of a cohesive team effort, or a great individual one.
In doing this, we can see which players were more reliant on their linemates, and possibly find trends that could apply to the future.
