I Know He's a Douche But...
I personally thought this was hilarious:

Homer Milbury: “a player who shouldn’t be in this game.” Pretty sure if Habs fans said the same thing in round one about Horton, Bruins fans would have jumped all over us for that comment..
This from the guy who jumped into the crowd during his career..
Shut up Milbury, it was a hockey play ;)

Or how Tampa must have felt after Game 7 when Horton won it.
Douche move, but whatever.
Time for some home cooking in Game 3.
You consistently surprise me in your sportsmanship. Completely serious. You are a very, very rational fan.

Even last year when he was doing his big smiles during scrums, I’d laugh but I’d be thinking; “Damn I wouldn’t mind punching him.”

I loved when he got hit into the boards and he did the Wile E. Coyote and left an impression on the end boards with his hands and legs out.
Worst. Dive. Ever.
Still kills me thinking about it. I loved him on the Habs. I will love him wherever he plays. I don’t care about the advanced stats. Contract. attitude. etc. It was great to have the Kenny Linseman on my team for the short time it lasted.
If nothing else Lapierre will always make me laugh. I’m actually surprised he’s such an effective agitator because everything he does is so ridiculous.

Fk Milbury…what a pathetic homer. I wonder if he cried about Kesler being “offside” in game 1, but felt that Peverley was onside in game4 against the habs. I wonder if he felt Marc Savard should have been playing after he bit Dan Carcillo?
My guess is the Milbury probably said that Savard “Isn’t that kind of player” and wrote it off like the media always writes off all the wrongs the Bruins do.

Karma is coming back to bite the Bruins in the ass.
First the borderline offside call, like against the Habs in OT Game 4 and now Horton gets SMOKED. I can’t wait for the Bruin fans to react like Hab fans did with Pacioretty and then tell us how it is different because it affected them.
Lapierre is so annoying, players on twitter are going nuts: http://twitter.com/#!/krysbarch/status/77905791440523265

Well, no 911 call or massive protest yet. Perhaps in the next 24 hours?

Protests happened when the NHL did nothing, fortunately for you, you’re a fan of the league’s favourite team.

It would be difficult to assert otherwise.

So we have a less than glorious start to the decade and then a lockout.
We take you to 7 and lose, have two dissappointing exits in the second round, and then make it to the Finals with no Power Play.
That really doesn’t sound like fortune smiling upon us until perhaps this year. And we had to dig out of a hole against the Habs to even get this far.
Actually we just did the same against Vancouver too.
Perhaps reverse karma? Now the animosity is being turned into a wave of energy/power that they’ll ride to the promised land.
The play on the ice of Boston isn’t what I’m talking about. I’m talking about what they get away with while they’re doing it. They’re a good team, no doubt about it, but they happen to be so good because they’re not punished when they cheat. With the way Boston plays, being one of the least penalized teams in the league this year is a joke, and the lack of suspensions is the same.
I don’t think it’s hard to imagine that Murphy has helped the Bruins a lot this year, suspending Rome for an unprecedented number of SCF games for a hit that’s technically legal according to the NHL, stating the same reasons for the suspension that he said were non-factors in the Chara non-suspension. That’s a bitter pill to swallow for us up north, if I do say so myself. Perhaps if Rome said Horton leaned and jumped into the ice and he didn’t know where he was on the ice after the game he wouldn’t have been suspended, but somehow i doubt it.
