Eyes On The Prize Podcast: October review
With a month in the books for the Montreal Candiens, Chris Boyle, Andrew Berkshire, Bruce Peter and myself had what should be a series of monthly recaps of the season thus far.
Stephan Cooper had some connection issues, and we couldn't get him hooked in.
Topics included the newcomers to the club, notably Erik Cole, Raphael Diaz, Alexei Emelin and Pettri Nokelainen. We also discussed the Perry Pearn firing, P.K. Subban, "Superman" Max Pacioretty and the latest endeavour of Georges Laraque. There's also some insight into what the Habs do when the injured Scott Gomez, Andrei Markov and Ryan White return to the fray.
The podcast runs about 40 minutes, so maybe something to endure over your lunch break. Keep in mind we're not the most tech savvy when it comes to these things just yet, but we're getting there. At least you can hear me this time, although the number of "ums" I use could be a drinking game.

I really enjoy these! Can you make these 8 hours long and have a new one every day? You kind of ruined sports radio for me today, couldn’t go back to Tony Marinaro after that…
Thanks. Unfortunatley the real 8 hour jobs keep us from doing it every day. So we’ll just have to hone our craft when time permits.

I’ve really got to wrap up my points better! lol Adding an extra ‘so’ is not the best way to make a point.
My program telling me I’m picking up extra noise, or am speaking too loud, so I’m a bit paranoid about that. Now hearing it on replay, I know my noise settings are just screwing with my head.
I’ll blame my sideline status in this one on the absence of Stephan, as I only prepared enough commentry for 1/5 of the air time.

I guess it’s gonna come with hearing more podcasts, but right now I couldn’t say who was talking most of the time. I know at one point I was hoping you’d bring up Carey Price so I could figure out who Chris was ;)

Chris did call Price a ‘percentages goalie’, and how he didn’t really play much differently in the win streak than he did in the rest of the month.
