P.K. Subban may have made some more friends at the NHL Super Skills Competition. The Montreal Canadiens defenseman got the cheers from the crowd, and some smiles and laughs from his fellow All-Stars, when he borrowed the Carolina Hurricanes Jeff Skinner 's jersey in the Breakaway Challenge.
The Philadelphia Flyers Claude Giroux can be seen smiling at the beginning of the clip. There was no shot of Mike Richards though.
Subban was unsuccessful in his breakaway efforts, but was voted in second place by the fans behind winner Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals.
San Jose Sharks Dan Boyle suggested that Subban wear Skinner's jersey, but not until his last attempt. The Habs rearguard misunderstood and wore it for his whole run. Had Subban won the event, it's certain that Boyle would have taken the credit for it.
The rookie's antics are currently in the top-three on the NHL's online poll for the best moment of the event.
