History was made...WIth some irony and some lottery luck. In 2007, after finishing dead last in the regular season, the Philadelphia Flyers had the best chance to win the NHL Draft Lottery. It didn't happen. THe Chicago Blackhawks, weighted fifth in the running, did and selected a forward from the London Knights named Patrick Kane. Author Todd Denault also noted, on his Facebook page, the irony that "the Stanley Cup winning goal was scored in Philadelphia, by a guy wearing number 88. Talk about bad karma for Flyers fans."
