The Broad Street Bullies Movie - A Must See Film For Every Hockey Fan
Love 'em or loathe 'em, the 1970's Philadelphia Flyers defined an era like no other NHL club before or since. Their goonish tactics and brotherhood banding swept the hockey consciousness of the era. They were the hockey villains everyone wanted taken down. After the jump, watch the movie in seven You Tube clips. Oh, and yeah, it has a happy ending!

thanks!
heard it was on hbo, now i can just watch here. love em or hate em, they were the real goons.
what a rush
I was on Broad Street that Monday along with about 2 Million other screaming fans.
The only thing approaching it in Philly history was the Phillies parade a couple of years ago. And even that seems pale in comparison.
The Flyers turned the city around. It became clear to all the local franchises that all they had to do was win. Philadelphia was hungry for winners. Suddenly the Phils, the Eagles, and the Sixers found they could build their franchises into winners, too.
It was the Flyers that showed them the way, and the Broad Street Bullies will always be Philadelphia’s favorite team.
HBO did us all a service in bringing it back to life, if only for a little while.
btw---
how’s the Flyers-Habs series going this year?
sorry, couldn’t resist.
You forgot
1995, 2000, 2004 and 2008 when they got bounced from the Conference Finals.
A history of success, but just coming up short. Wouldn’t have anything to do with names like Leighton, Boucher, Hextall, Snow and Esche though.
