Andrei Markov out 3-4 months
Wow! Andrei Markov will be out for 3-4 months after tearing a tendon when he collide with Carey Price in the 3rd period last night. What a big blow! He is not expected back until after the Olympic break! Apparently they are going to call up Yannick Weber from Hamilton and Roman Hamrlik will return to the line-up for tomorrow's tilt against the Sabres.
Get well quickly Andrei!

Do it Gainey!
I agree with Weber coming up, however, who will we end up pairing O’Burned Again with?
Yes frustration has set in, its one day after their first game (true to form we Habs fans are disgruntled). O’Byrne should not have been #7 guy in the first place. Now with Markov out, we bring in a rookie in Weber and we’ll have to juggle the D.
I think, if we need to do juggling we should do it completely, demote O’Burned Again and bring up Matt Carle as well. Subban needs more time.

O’Byrne played better than Weber, Carle, Subban, and even a couple of veterans in preseason, and he played well last night.
Hamrlik, Spacek, Gorges and Mara are going to have to be our top 4 unless Bob makes a trade. We’re going to need instant committment from the forwards to playing defensive hockey and helping with the breakouts as well.
Hockey blogging can't get any flatter.
Chelios?
E.J. Hradek of espn.com is reporting that perhaps Bob Gainey should consider calling Chris Chelios. I really hope that doesnt happen. Your thoughts?
oh yeah, Bob Mackenzie also threw out Patrice Brisebois’ name as well. Please stick to nascar Patrice.
