Habs Versus Former Habs - October 12

In week 2 of the Habs vs former Habs matchup, the Canadiens players have put in a cumulative 47 games played versus only 44.

The biggest gains on the Habs side were Paul Mara with three assists in three games, Tomas Plekanec with a goal and an assist, and Mike Cammalleri with two assists.

For the fomer Habs, Mike Ribeiro posted a goal and two assists in two games, and Saku Koivu with one and one in four games made the most significant point jumps.

In the more direct forward matchups, the Habs line of Gomez, Gionta and Cammalleri look good against Ribeiro, Kovalev, and Tanguay, outpointing them by a 10 to 5 margin.

The Canadiens three best forwards thus far (Gionta, Cammalleri and Plekanec) have 11 points versus 10 for the trio of Grabovski, Begin and Ribeiro.

On the blueline, Paul Mara has more assists than any former Canadiens defensemen has points.
